PMS Summer Reading '25 Packet
Due October 10th
Directions:
1. Choose a book that you have not read before. Your book should be for middle grades, adolescents, teens, or young adults. It can be a novel, novel-in-verse, graphic novel, e-book, or audiobook.
2. Read the book.
3. Complete the one-pager in the summer reading packet using both writing and drawings. You can use color, pencil, or both.
4. Bring your completed one-pager to your Language Arts teacher between
the first day of school and October 10th. Paper copies only. Electronic work
will not be accepted.
** If you choose a non-fiction book, the categories for each box of the one-pager may not fit. Feel free to adapt them to best share out about your book.
At Pikesville Middle School, we believe that students have the autonomy to select high-quality books that reflect their lives and experiences, provide different perspectives, and empower them as independent readers. We support the “Reader’s Bill of Rights.” We encourage students to share their reading experiences with their families.
