The Physical Education Department offers a varied and flexible program at each grade level. The program provides an opportunity for each student to develop new interests and skills, and improve previously acquired skills. Punctuality, participation, and proper uniform are essential for a successful physical education experience.
Your child’s safety is our primary concern. We teach specific safety rules and procedures for each unit. Teasing, horseplay, and misuse of equipment are neither permitted nor tolerated. Students are supervised at all times. No child is allowed on equipment without a teacher present. Please discuss with your child his/her  responsibility for behavior during the school day.

PIKESVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL FLAG FOOTBALL

Mr. Desort would like to invite sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students to join in the fun of organized flag football. Competitions will be held on Tuesdays for seventh and eighth grade students and Wednesdays for sixth grade students beginning the week of September 22 nd thru November. The football intramural will run from the end of school until 3:50 p.m. Every participating student must leave school grounds via vehicle or by foot NO LATER THAN 4:00 P.M. If student is picked up after 4 p.m., this will result in dismissal from activity. This activity is based on “weather permitting.” If it’s raining, students should take regular transportation home.

This non-contact sport is open to both females and males. It stresses the importance of teamwork and assists in the development of motor skills. Most important of all, it’s fun and free.
